What is the best cookie recipe you have?

i need directions on baking and ingredients, must be from scratch! What is the best cookie recipe you have?
The best cookies I make are from my mother's recipe for Sugar Cookies. Even her mother changed to my mother's recipe. My generation and the next one down also make these cookies. They are absolutely delicious!

3 cups flour

1 tsp. baking powder

1/4 tsp. salt

1 1/4 cup sugar

1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened

3 eggs

1 tsp. vanilla extract

Sift or whisk together dry ingredients in a medium bowl. Cut in butter using pastry blender or 2 knives. Add unbeaten eggs and vanill; mix well with a fork. Refrigerate about 1 hour. Rollout very thin on floured board and cut with floured cookie cutter(s). Bake 8 minutes in preheated 375 F oven.

You can either sprinkle with colored sugars before baking or frost them afterwards. These freeze wonderfully and thaw like fresh!

My nephew's girlfriend had them for the first time last Sunday dinner and couldn't wait to get the recipe...and she took the rest of the thawed ones home that evening. What is the best cookie recipe you have?

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets. Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, mace, nutmeg, and cloves; set aside.

In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in milk and vanilla. Gradually mix in the sifted ingredients until well blended. Using a wooden spoon, stir in the cornflakes, oats, coconut, chocolate chips, and walnuts. Roll the dough into walnut sized balls, and place 2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheets; flatten slightly.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. I found that slightly under baking these yields wonderfully chewy cookies!
Sorry I do not have one best cookie recipe for you but check out www.NorthPole.com. There are alot of good cookie recipes here.
