What's the best frosting recipe that does not contain milk?

I'm making a chocolate cake and I don't have milk to make frosting.

Start with about 2 c. powdered sugar and 2 TB. softened butter ....gradually whisk in liquid (juice, brandy, whatever) 1 TB at a time, until smooth, spreading consistency......You'll probably need to readjust sugar/liquid as you do it:) -use a wire whisk
